APPRECIATION OF CHURCH VOLUNTEERS
Our relationships and contacts with one another stimulate and sharpen us in our walk with God and life in general. We are able to grow, gain insights, share gifts, and share the ways God is working in the lives of others by volunteering within the church. It is through helping and volunteering that we are able to spread the word and love of God. We have very devoted young mothers and fathers who come each Sunday morning to teach Sunday School to a growing group of our young children. When you see them, Thank them! We have a wonderful group of musicians who have filled the sanctuary with songs and the ringing of bells. We have our readers, lay assistants, ushers, communion servers, and others that do things behind the scenes. Have you thanked them lately? As spring comes, let us remember those who trim shrubs and have done the landscaping this spring, mowed the lawn, cared for the community garden. Have you thought about joining them in these opportunities to share your special talents and time? As someone once said: “I get JOY from volunteering at the church.” Let us all find a way we can “find JOY in doing God’s work!”
