When a child reaches the age of three, he or she is ready for Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Much has changed since 1918 when the first Sunday School was held in terms of educational theory, practice and resources, perhaps no more so than in the past two decades. The Bibles used by the students (Whirl Study Bibles) include ideas and activities to make lessons come alive for various age groups and for children who learn in different ways. Classes provide ample opportunity for creative expression of what has been learned. But the same stories from the Bible are always at the center. There is always music, and while the songs may have changed, the message has not.
